The 1st Seminar of the Marine and Fisheries Research Project, organized by FUNBIO, occurred in Rio de Janeiro
from March 27th to the 29th. The meeting brought together 16 participating projects studying issues related to
fishing and the marine environment in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The seminar aimed to bring together
researchers, managers, and environmentalists in order to promote project integration and increase synergy of
efforts toward common goals.

During the event, researchers from LECAR had an opportunity to present and discuss the results of Projeto Costão
Rochoso and gain advice for project improvement. The seminar was a great opportunity to contact other areas, and
to strengthen existing collaborations and help form new ones.

Entre os dias 27 e 29 de março, ocorreu no Rio de Janeiro o Iº Seminário do Projeto Pesquisa Marinha e
Pesqueira, organizado pelo FUNBIO. O encontro reuniu os 16 projetos participantes, que estudam temas
relacionados à pesca e ao ambiente marinho no estado do Rio de Janeiro principalmente. O Projeto Costão
Rochoso, liderado pelo LECAR levou três pesquisadores. Este Seminário teve como objetivo reunir
pesquisadores, gestores, professores, ambientalistas e promover a integração dos projetos a fim de aumentar o
sinergismo de esforços em cima de objetivos comuns.

Durante o evento, pesquisadores integrantes do LECAR tiveram a oportunidade de apresentar parte dos
resultados do Projeto Costão Rochoso, suas pesquisas, abrindo a possibilidade para a discussão e
aconselhamentos para aprimoramento dos projetos. O seminário foi uma ótima oportunidade para ter contato com
outras áreas, formar e fortalecer colaborações.
